Travel Bans – Constitutional or Not

There are Federal judges who disagree with President Trump’s travel bans with some going so far as bringing the bans to a halt by stopping their enforcement.  The most recent is U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson who placed an emergency stop on the second ban in response to a lawsuit filed in Hawaii which alleges the order discriminates against Muslims and is, therefore, a violation of the U.S. Constitution.

This is purely politically driven as there is absolutely no religious discrimination occurring in either of the bans.

The bans are an attempt to protect American citizens from terrorists regardless of what Watson says.  His ruling states, “a reasonable, objective observer … would conclude that the Executive Order was issued with a purpose to disfavor a particular religion.”  I am reasonable.  I am objective.  I am also a Patriot who believes that we need to stop people from any country from entering our country illegally and without being vetted.  Do it legally, as countless others have.  I have absolutely no issue with that at all.

President TrumpIt is interesting that Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed Bin Salman called President Trump a “genuine companion of Muslims” and did not feel that the ban targeted his Islamic religion.  In a statement he also said, “This measure is a sovereign decision aimed at preventing terrorists from entering the United States of America.”  Does the prince know something the judge does not or, as has been pointed out, is the judge being overly political (which is not his job).

If you don’t think that Watson is making a political statement, call him and ask him where he was when ex-President Obama issued six travel bans, including two bans for any countries “helping Iran and Syria.”  Oh, that’s right, he was appointed to the District Court by Obama.

Only those who know and understand our precious Constitution and Bill of Rights can see what Watson is doing.  He is not protecting a violation of the U.S. Constitution.  He is being political.  Sorry, but that is not in his job description.  As such, he is not doing the job he has sworn to do and gets paid handsomely to do.

And here is a constitutional question … does the Bill of Rights (specifically, in this case, the First Amendment regarding the freedom of religion) apply to America and our citizens (because we adopted the amendment and hold it as part of the Supreme Law of the Land), or does it, somehow, extend to all people of the world (i.e., in other countries).

Donald J Trump on the 2nd Amendment

The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, the second item addressed in OUR Bill of Rights, states:  “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

In this short video, Republican Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump is very clear and quite precise on his stand regarding Americans and their right to own guns.

He is in good company.

There was, and there still are, very good reasons for citizens to bear arms.

Our Founding Fathers wrote the 2nd because they knew that an armed populace would not (easily) fall to tyrannical leaders.

Founding Fathers Patrick Henry and George Mason of Virginia both lobbied and fought for a bill of rights, as the Constitution gave too much power to the centralized government.  They battled long and hard to convince their fellow Patriots to arm the people with Rights, Rights which would help define freedom and liberty as never before.

Regarding arms, Mason said,  “To disarm the people…[i]s the most effectual way to enslave them.”

Henry, ever the orator, said,  “Guard with jealous attention the public liberty.  Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel.  Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force.  Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined…. The great object is that every man be armed.  Everyone who is able might have a gun.”

US Flag - pistolMeanwhile, Alexander Hamilton said, “The best we can help for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.”

And Thomas Jefferson stated, “What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms.”

Perhaps our first President, George Washington, said it best, “Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence.”

Let us not dwell on the fact that the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights are over 240 years old.  Let us, instead, marvel at the foresight our Founding Fathers had in preparing foundational writings that can stand, and have stood, the test of time when they are followed by a moral and ethical people.

Obama and the US Constitution – Not Compatible

For too many years the American public has turned a blind eye, or has been simply bamboozled, as politicians have slowly but surely been stealing our rights and freedoms away. Yes, those very ones that are guaranteed to us via the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the additional Amendments.

As well, our Executive Branch has been side-stepping the Law of the Land via items such as Signing Statements. These “statements” have been used for years by most of our presidents, but Obama has been very blatant using them to get around Constitutional Law.

The funny thing, if it weren’t so serious, is that Obama nailed Bush over the use of them. On May 18, 2008 during his first campaign, made the following promise: I taught the Constitution for 10 years. I believe in the Constitution, and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We’re not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end run around Congress.

Barack Obama - ConstitutionTo date, he has used 33 of them.

Earlier, on March 31, 2008, he said, I take the Constitution very seriously. The biggest problems that we’re facing right now have to do with [the president] trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m President of the United States of America. Not.

Obama has done more to consolidate power in the Oval Office than anyone before him – in several areas.

One example: he has issued a series of Executive Orders that contradict the United States’ immigration laws. Illegal immigrants will, because of Obama’s total disregard towards the separation of powers as laid out in the US Constitution, reap billions in benefits, again through Executive Orders. All paid courtesy of the US taxpayer.

On October 20, 2010, Obama said, I do have an obligation to make sure that I am following some of the rules. I can’t simply ignore laws that are out there. I’ve got to work to make sure that they are changed. The total audacity! “Some of the rules?” Who is he that he thinks he can circumvent any of the laws of the land?

Well, in 2011, he did bypass Congress by invading Libya, which was an act of war. He overthrew their government and was basically responsible for the assassination of their leader.

And, although we should have suspected this, Obama did not veto the National Defense Authorization Act, as he had promised. That act contains articles that violate the Bill of Rights. The 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments are all at risk due to this one piece of legislation.

Thomas Paine - DutyThe primary offending area is §§ 1021-1022, which affirm provisions authorizing the indefinite military detention of civilians, including U.S. citizens, without habeas corpus or due process, contained in the Authorization for Use of Military Force. Yes, if you offend the wrong person with your opinion, you could find yourself deemed a “national security threat” and your due process is lost, you are simply taken away.

Finally, although the Supreme Court upheld the legislation, the (Un)Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare as it is known, is absolutely unconstitutional. Our government can now dictate that you MUST purchase health insurance and then enforce this by taxing you if you do not purchase it. Yet, those illegals and refugees he is letting in get health care for free (courtesy of your friendly US taxpayer).

What happens next? The door has been propped completely wide open for further abuse.

Political Secrets – Is This How We Track Corruption?

Know that Corruption cannot survive if the light of day is shone upon it.

Not too long ago we had an abomination of a big BIG OMNIBUS BILL that was passed by a Republican Congress in a way where it was impossible for them to even have time to READ THE BILL.  And, yes, hello, of course, this bill, like many big omnibus bills before it, was riddled with many irrelevant DIRTY SECRETS. Unless “we the people speak up loud and clear” we can expect more legislation without representation like this bill.

In the bill which was not written by any congressman, but rather by accountants, lobbyists and lawyers, Dark Money Groups were again given protection to withhold (legislation without representation) the names of their contributors. The S.E.C ‘s effort to create rules to force groups and corporations to disclose their campaign contributors was effectively blocked. This is an unethical, and ugly move to keep the public blindfolded about who is writing the BIG CHECKS.

Note: Since the Citizens United decision in January 2010, politicians have collected more than $500 MILLION in dark money from phantom donors according to the Center for Responsive Politics,

A Historical Perspective

Two things drive change: the ideas of man and new technological breakthroughs.

In living memory, there have been three civilizing waves: the Agricultural, the Industrial and now the Digital-Electronic Wave. The changes we now experience are fast and furious and are akin to a gigantic wave that is descending on us. It is because of this that we need new leaders, men of vision who can help us to see where we are going. It is in times like this that we need a simple formula to sort it all out. There is such a formula and it is this:

It takes men of courage to stand firm and hold a true course as we let go of the old corrupt order, especially when hard on their pockets. It is such men of courage though that we need to seek out and vote for in the next election.

Imagine a powerful sea, with large waves, breaking. The force of each new wave is met by the force of the prior wave receding. At the place where the two waves meet, their force is broken into a thousand swirling eddies. Is this not what our society is experiencing right now?.

It is not the first time two powerful civilizing waves have met and wreaked havoc on society. It was the force of the Industrial Revolution that undid the old agricultural order of Kings and the Aristocrats. The difference was that in those days it was easy to see the unfair advantage and inevitable that justice and fair play would eventually go in. The world was smaller but even then the changes brought by the new industrial wave fighting an entrenched corrupt agricultural order wreaked havoc on the world. The French Revolution was ugly.

As the Industrial wave now meets the Digital Wave, the conflict is both bigger and more subtle. This is because in the industrial order it is easy for bad men to hide because of the split between the consumer and the producer. Those taking advantage have learned to steal from both producer and consumer and they have perfected the art of hiding in the middle. When men do not act to serve the greatest good, their activities MUST be conducted in SECRECY.

Those who have bad secrets are running scared and we can know them by their efforts to hide their acts and to curb transparency.

As the corrupt industrial and financial model crumbles, it is actually possible to replace the corrupt industrial order with a better culture, maybe even a golden age. This may be hard to see as the water swirls around us and the banking and corporate and military and political powers fight to maintain what has become an unfair privilege.

What it is going to take, though, is the willingness to refresh our lives, to let go of the old and to embrace the new.

Of vital importance is also to protect the freedom of the Internet. Do not vote for any political candidate who in any even small way, chooses to suppress information on the Internet or threaten the integrity of this channel. The net is our salvation. These are questions for the candidates in the last two debate.

For I want you to know that the Industrial Order could well be replaced by something far worse than what we now have, the signs of decline are out there. What we are doing is riding the digital wave on the cusp, and it is almost ready to tip over. We can ride and command this new electronic wave, keep it free and use it to create a far better system – or we can let it crash and engulf us.

We can fail to take action, fail to elect the right new leaders and we can let the electronics that drives this new wave to be used by the entrenched establishment to undo our working system of government in the USA and replace it with one driven by ugly secrets and dark money.

How do we fight back?

It all begins and ends with a STRONG AND COLLECTIVE demand for TRANSPARENCY.

This is not something not a one of us should get reasonable about.

The truth is that we dare not fail to bring in positive reform, for if we do how will our world look?

  • The elites will continue to enjoy more and more opulence. There will be scarcity by design – all in our best interests, of course.
  • In a new super-regulated society we will find a high ratio of cops (AKA Security Officers) to every working man. They are there to protect us, of course.
  • We will begin to pay a Local Tax, a City Tax, a State Tax, a National Tax, a Federal Tax and a World Tax. This new tax is going to be introduced gradually but it will grow and grow. There will be no representation, of course.
  • The idle rich and the idle poor, both parasitic on society, will continue to collaborate to steal the fruits of the labor of the producers. There will be no fair exchange with producers of course.
  • There will be the appearance of democracy but the election process will be manipulated. There will be no freedom of course.
  • The elites will be there by divine right and it will behoove us to support them, of course.
  • The one percent rich will grow richer and the ninety-nine percent will grow poorer of course.

House of Cards Come Tumbling Down?

Our country is mostly, almost 100% represented by two parties, Republican and Democratic. Each has lost their real substance of what they really stood for and represented in years past.

And here we are today less than eleven months away from electing a new president to represent us the people, and this great country.

So what concerns me and should definitely concern you, and I’m sure a lot of you are concerned, is this:

Why is it very few presidential candidates running in their selective primaries – Clinton and Sanders from the progressive socialistic Democratic party and Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Carson, Bush, Christie, Kasich, Paul and a few others from the Republican establishment party and nonestablishment Republican party rarely mention governing by the Constitution. I’ve heard it from Cruz, Rubio, Carson but that’s it. And even with those guys not nearly enough. Never have I even heard a whisper from the lips of Sanders and Clinton, the word Constitution.

Maybe I have but in a twisted socialistic way.

Does that not warrant some concern? Well, it most certainly does for me and is one of the main reasons why I am doing a film on the US Constitution “In Search Of Liberty”.

In our movie one of our main characters, who has been asleep at the wheel or maybe even worse, in an amnesic hypnotic state as it concerns, his life, his families life, and the idea of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, begins to wake up. Like the character Jim Carey played in the movie “The Truman Show,” his boat had to run into that fake wall.

The national debt surpassed $18 trillion. That’s $124,000 for each American household or $56,378 per individual.

Over 200 trillion in unfunded liabilities (all future entitlement debt), about 95 million no longer in the workforce yet we are to believe the unemployment rate just this week reported and stated by the president to be 4.9% (an untruthful reality of the employment scene), more people on government assistance ever, our military is being reduced in face of radical Islamic aggressiveness worldwide, China aggressively expanding its territorial occupation, Iran leaders spouting death to America and just the other day North Korea launching and testing a long-range ballistic missile that some day can carry a nuclear warhead able to reach the west coast of the US. Is all this nuts or what? Be I and a few others the only ones who think we got a serious problem here.

How strong is our House? – Let’s carry on.

Hillary and Bernie are spewing free this free that, grow this grow that while our debt rises about $171,000,000 a day, this is just unsustainable and burdens posterity. You can read specifics on the internet and for me to note it here specifically creates a puke moment so I will pass.

We have presidential candidates who want to move into the House (White House) who rather than sticking to the important issues are mudslinging to the presidential candidacy. Do we really care if Cruz birthed by an American citizen while in Canada is eligible to run for president? Of course he is legally eligible to run. If you know your Constitution there is no argument on that issue. Or that he took a mortgage against his house from JP Morgan or Chase, whomever, they’re one in the same, to fund his senatorial run. Or what Ben Carson did when he was 12 or so years old.

We as American citizens and our country have important issues to address and resolve now and we want all of these candidates to stay on point with specifics, without giving away our strategies to our enemies to defeat them. How are they going to address and handle these?

If we get the same kind of governing with our new 2017 president and houses (congress and senate) as we have in the past, the House Of Cards will fall and America will not recover, be recognized as a great nation and be the beacon of freedom and liberty around the world.

Russia and China will be the lighthouse – god forbid.

To save our House Of Cards from falling, we need a strong foundation. We need a leader in the oval office who takes his constitutional oath seriously, governs explicitly by our Constitution, FOR, BY AND OF THE PEOPLE.

And we need to educate the young and old, and In Search Of Liberty the Movie is an excellent way to start that trend.

Our Political Scene – A House of Horrors

Are you screaming at the top of your lungs at your TV when listening to some TV reporter or commentator interviewing one of our possible future Commander and Chief, or listening to the president’s last state of the union, or Obama praising Hillary Clinton “”(S)he’s extraordinarily experienced — and, you know, wicked smart and knows every policy inside and out — (and) sometimes (that) could make her more cautious, and her campaign more prose than poetry,” – pulling at your hair, slapping yourself silly so you can wake up from what you think is a nightmare.

Well maybe this excerpt from an article:

Doug Casey Shines a Light on the Sociopaths in Politics
by Doug Casey | January 29, 2016 —

may help us in sorting things out and in choosing who would be the best candidate to be commander and chief and guide us out of the

As a side note – In our movie In Search Of Liberty, one of our last scenes takes

place at a carnival, and a trip through the House Of Horrors.

“1. Sociopaths completely lack a conscience or any  capacity for real regret about hurting people.

Although they pretend the opposite.

2. Sociopaths put their own desires and wants on a totally different level from those of other people. Their wants are incommensurate. They truly believe their ends justify their means. Although they pretend the opposite.

3. Sociopaths consider themselves superior to everyone else because they aren’t burdened by the emotions and ethics others have – they’re above all that. They’re arrogant. Although they pretend the opposite.

4. Sociopaths never accept the slightest responsibility for anything that goes wrong, even though they’re responsible for almost everything that goes wrong. You’ll never hear a sincere apology from them.

5. Sociopaths have a lopsided notion of property rights. What’s theirs is theirs, and what’s yours is theirs too. They, therefore, defend currency inflation and taxation as good things.

6. Sociopaths usually pick the wrong target to attack. If they lose their wallet, they kick the dog. If 16 Saudis fly planes into buildings, they attack Afghanistan.

7. Sociopaths traffic in disturbing news, they love to pass on destructive rumors, and they’ll falsify information to damage others.

The fact that they’re chronic, extremely convincing, and even enthusiastic liars, who often believe their own lies, means they aren’t easy to spot, because normal people naturally assume another person is telling the truth. They rarely have handlebar mustaches or chortle like Snidely Whiplash. Instead, they cultivate a social veneer or a mask of sanity that diverts suspicion. You can rely on them to be “politically correct” in public. How could a congressman or senator who avidly supports charities possibly be a bad guy? How could someone who claims he just wants the U.S. to defend some foreign minority possibly be a warmonger? They’re expert at using facades to disguise reality, and they feel no guilt about it.”- Doug Casey

Well, I hope this settles your nerves a bit and helps in your choosing your next president.

I welcome any feedback.
